The Perfect Steak
From the Kitchen: Radio Show # 14

Welcome to my Kitchen!


Hi, I’m Jeff Suddaby, chef and host of the cooking show, Who’s Coming for Dinner! From the Kitchen today, we are learning how to select the perfect steak. There are 4 considerations.


The type of cut.


The marbling of the steak.


The trimming of the fat


And most important – the aging process of the steak.


So – next time with your butcher – tell them exactly what you would like.



  • Loin cuts are usually the most tender.
  • Look for marbling thru out the steak.
  • Ensue the fat content is no more than a ¼ of an inch around the steak.
  • And ask for a steak that has been aged for at least 14 days.

Fire up the BBQ and enjoy this one, even if you do not have a steak knife!
