Hi, I’m Jeff Suddaby, chef and host of the cooking show, Who’s Coming for Dinner! From the Kitchen today, we are cooking pasta – al denté. There is nothing more disappointing than mushy pasta. So let’s cook it perfectly.
- Remember, you will need to double the volume of water compared to the weight of pasta. For example – to cook 8 oz of pasta, you will need 16 oz of water.
- Add water to your saucepot and bring to a rolling boil. Do not add oil, since it will cover your pasta and when you add your sauce it will simply slide off!
- Add the pasta to the boiling water and cover. This will allow the water to recover back to the boil.
- Stir and cook for 1 minute.
- Serve with your favourite sauce.
